I miss the old SSM (System Safety Monitor) HIPS, is there anything similar to it - that's freeware?

I think that malwaredefender is the closest thing I can think of. Are you looking for 64bit? Are you just looking for a HIPS?

I migrated from SSM to Malware Defender. It was a very easy transition.
