I can't speak about the rest of the programs but I've been using Dr Web SS 7 for a couple months now and the test results reflect my experience with this product. For me on-access performance is far more important than on-demand and DrWSS does really well at this.

You have the right but I believe in real independent test (free of charge for participants). This is the huge difference of Anti-Malware.ru tests.

*
Anyway our methodology is open and available in English

Actually, I agree with overall trend of graph but Gdata was not fast than others as depicted.
Overall, my findings are in sync with your data ( for boot time)

Define file copying. Same drive, drive to drive, or across a LAN?

From one drive to other one (WDC WD2500JS-22NCB1 and WDC WD2500JS-22NCB1). It would be a little bit incorrect coping files within one drive.

I have 4 years license for dr web, I like the program, I also have licenses for eset, avast and norton.
As for performance there must be something wrong with my pc's or the tables are upsidedown maybe ;D
Just noticed.... Avast 4.8?

Hi!

The test is not actual from the day of its release because an old verison of Comodo is tested.

There exists CIS 5.10 now and CIS 5.8 was tested.

Hi Solarlynx!

You can declare the same about every comparative test. It takes time when any participant AV will be updated (minor versions, builds, CFs etc.).

Just try to explain why CIS 5.10 should be faster ???

I don't use CIS 5.10 but some who use it - at the Comodo's forum - says that it is significantly faster then previous versions.

I use CIS 5.9 and it is really quicker and smarter than 5.8 - scanning takes considerably less time. This is not as you write 'minor versions, builds, CFs etc.'

Another issue is that the 5.9 was released long ago before the Anti-Malware test was published. Do you deliberately take older versions of less favorable products to increase odds of other progs? Then the test is biased and unreliable.

We started this test in Dec. 2011, so the CIS 5.8 was actual on that time.

If Comodo wants we can check the new version 5.10 and compare it with other results.

Started in December and finished in March?
at a snail's pace...
In 4 months all products may have changed significantly.

I don't know if Comodo wants it. But as for Comodo users they would definitely be grateful to get tests of actual version.
And why not to post the tests in English as well?

Thank you
