How come there are no new updates for SpywareGuard for past 4 months... the latest update shows as 1/22/04???

spyware guard uses heuristics, so it doesnt need 2 be updated as much

If that was true, how come it used to be updated about every month, then one time it was two months and now about four?

I suspect that it has more to do with the author spending a lot more time on SpyWareBlaster instead.
