I would use the one from official repository, Chromium, unless you specifically need the other.

I am using both without any problems.I love the way that Chrome has its own flash player.

It's nice. Unfortunately I don't think Chrome uses any sandbox on Linux.

I prefer Chrome over Chromium.

Incorrect according to this (http://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki/ChromiumBrowserVsGoogleChrome) table. And it says that even Chromium has it enabled under Ubuntu and Gentoo.

That's a nice table. I remember having read it before and its contents made me prefer Chrome over Chromium.

http://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/sandbox

-{ Quote: "
Sandbox leverages the OS-provided security to allow code execution that cannot make persistent changes to the computer or access information that is confidential. The architecture and exact assurances that the sandbox provides are dependent on the operating system. Currently the only finished implementation is for Windows." }-

I guess the time to worry is when someone pwns Chrome running on a Linux distro.

Yes, that contradicts what the table says regarding the sandbox. However, there is no hint when this site was last updated. The table (updated in March 2011), on the other hand, is very specific in saying:

-{ Quote: "Ubuntu and Gentoo: always on; warning: some unofficial Slackware packages remove it!" }-

This suggests that it might be more up-to-date.
