Hi @ all.

I am searching for stand alone behavior blockers. 64-bit support would be nice. So far, i did not find anything good. All the good products (Norton Anti-Bot, Nova Shield and so on) were bought out by bigger companys to be discontinued... :-X

I got:

-> Mamutu (x64, x86) [sadly it is very slow on my system]
-> NovaShield (x86) [sadly it is only x86 and discontinued]

AVG Identity Shield is not stand alone.. :(

Any input is wellcome!

There's not much I'm afraid. There's also Threatfire which seems to be developed again, but very slowly, though you can make it better with higher sensitivity and custom rules.

Spyshelter?

Zemana is an anti keylogin tool; not a real behavior blocker. Spyshelter is more hips than bb.

Mamutu. Doesn't slow down my two year old computer, are you sure Mamutu is causing the slow-down?

Mamutu is an extremely light program, even in older machines.
Maybe there's some other app causing conflicts.

and btw: try Avast Free AV (disable all shield except behaviour shield). I think that is a great, free, lightweight behaviour blocker?

I'm also thinking that, Mamutu has always been very light. :thumb:

I find the idea of installing and using a whole antivirus just for the behavior blocker quite amusing :o
It would not only be a waste of resource but you would not be able to use any other antivirus(except those like wsa). I mean many users disable some shields in avast. But don't you think using only the behavior shield of a handicapped avast would be too ......:gack: .... ?

BB might be deceived by the trojan Sinowal/Mebroot, because the process of the malware is regsvr32.exe.

Threatfire is bypassed by the malware.

The Web, Script, and Network Shields are too good to not be used IMO.

So using Avast just for the BB is not something I would do.

indeed.. use avast for bb, web, script and network shield :>
