There were false postives in yesterday's defs update 25.9.2011 - 110925-0.
False/Positives in the above update results in flagging kernel32.dll's in different locations as being falsely infected on 64-bit systems. Reportedly, running the System File Checker repairs damage.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
*Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
*Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.
*If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue
*At the command prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow (note the space before the backslash)
*When the scan is complete, test to see whether the issue that you are experiencing is resolved.
Version 25.9.2011 - 110925-2 was released to fix the f/p in the previous update.
Thanks to Corrine for the above information.
