Alignment Tool (PAT)

Running PAT on my system, shows as misaligned and needing alignment my standard (non 4K AFD format) WD Caviar Blue drives.

- Is that normal?
- If i let PAT align them would they be aligned according to 4K format ? is there an advantage of that for non AFD drives?
- Will they be usable by an XP system afterwards?

And something else. This WD 2T EARS reports a partition as not aligned. When ask PAT to align it, after a while reports alignment finished but the partition (cant get) is not aligned .....

I wouldn´t bother with PAT unless there is an obvious performance problem with an AFD disk used on a XP system.
