The most excellent USBSafelyRemove (v4.7.1.1153) is freely available today at GAOTD.

Or, better, go to http://safelyremove.com/giveawaygaotd11.htm to grab it, and possibly escape some of the usual GAOTD's sand traps... ;D

Thank you. I just got it from the manufacturer's site.

Just curious, is it needed on windows 7? as win 7 has a greatly improved "safely remove hardware" feature. It is definitely needed on XP and Vista.

I am using it on 7x64 and this give me some nice added features, IMHO. But you can help build your own decision by reading at this page

Btw, the giveaway is now over.

edit:
"Due to high user interest on the GiveAwayOfTheDay.com we have decided to prolong our license giveaway until Aug 12th."

The features look nice but they are not something one would pay $19.99, if one is on win 7. As long as it is free, it is fine. However, people on XP and Vista will definitely benefit from this utility.

I have installed it on my windows 7 laptop and so far it appears good enough, it does take 10 mb of RAM, but nowadays everybody has a lot of RAM to spare.
