Control Deck??

A couple of times recently when starting or closing my laptop there is a delay with the message that the Control Deck Ex is not responding. In a few seconds or if I left click the screen it is OK

I have no idea what the control deck is or what to do about it. I assume it is software.

The security software shown in my sig, although I have not paid any attention. It is probable that Windows Live would also be running. I normally use FF as my browser, and would have closed it.

JerryM, although for a different issue than yours, review Asus Controldeck lags upon start-up (http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/553547-asus-controldeck-lags-upon-start-up.html), especially Post #2, and if that does not work, post #4, in that forum thread. Hope it helps.

Hi JR,
Many thanks for the help. I also have experienced the lag at start-up.
I tried the solution in Post 2, but it did not work. The solution in #4 may have worked. I have shut down and started a couple of times without the lag. I'll see how it gets along.

This seems to be unique to ASUS desktops.
