As the title says.
I lost a password to enter a site (can only see those asterix). It's an email account, and I need to recover it from my e-mail manager (Magic Mail Monitor).
On XP, I used Nirsoft's Asterisk Logger but last time I checked, it didn't work 64-bit. I also tried its successor BulletsPassView v1.10 x64 but did not work either.

u tried SIW (http://www.gtopala.com/download/siw.exe)?
run it (portable), then choose 'tools' at the top and then 'eureka' and then drag magnifying glass onto password field
long shot, but you never know

@ treehouse786
I should have thought of SIW. I use it from my windows 98 days and got a free pro license some years ago. Great tool. But Eureka feature does not work for Magic Mail Monitor (MMM), unfortunately.
@ Victek123
Mail PassView does not crack MMM either :'(
In a sens, I should be glad that MMM is not that easy to steal ???
Thanks both for your suggestions

I am going to download the SIW.exe file you suggested. In the past when I have downloaded the program both Jotti and VirusTotal found malware. If I again test the file with Jotti and VirusTotal and they find malware do you believe that most likely they are false positives?
Thanking you in advance

Excellent. Exactly my situation here.
The clever javascript trick or bookmarklet did it for me, with Opera as my browser.
Thanks for this aigle. :thumb:
ps: as a sidenote, interesting to note that I did not find any way to see Magic Mail Monitor's passwords. Strange because Asterix Logger was able to do it on XP SP1. ???

Re aigle's link http://tweakandtrick.blogspot.com/2011/04/asterisk-password-star-show-view-reveal.html
JavaScript to Reveal Hidden Passwords in Asterisk (Stars)
Fascinating trick indeed :o
Tried it with NoScript enabled & it failed :thumb:
228132
But disabled it & it DID work as advertised !

I also installed the FF addon ShowMyPassword listed on the www. This worked just fine with NoScript enabled :o

Prevx & Zemana were also running & didn't prevent Anything or alert ? Maybe they can NOT in situations such as these ? So is this a serious flaw, or ?

How about a packet sniffer long shot but if it's not encrypted may work.
Log onto mail account while sniffing...

Thanks for this tip, rrrh1, but actually I should have said in my post above that my password problem is now fixed.
Because the password revealed by the javascript trick in Opera was the same that I was trying to get from Magic Mail Monitor.

must have been false positives, SIW has always been malware free :thumb:
the password reveal component must have triggered some heuristics.
SIW is my favourite utility, enjoy!
