Is ESET 5 Release Candidate fast?

Just wondering if an< in depth scan> is faster when you have enabled the cloud optimization, compared to the same scan but with cloud disabled

if so, post the size in MB of the scanned data and time required to finnish the scan

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no really good way to answer your question as the amount and type of data in the cloud changes over time, as does the speed and latency of network connections. The idea, of course, is that it provides a net benefit to end-users, however, I can envision scenarios where the speed could be reduced due to network congestion. I haven't spoken to anyone on the traffic engineering side of things, but I suspect having very low-latency connections would be one of the things which improves the speed of accessing—and getting replies from—the cloud.

The scan could finnish in the half of time needed by the core engine, thanks to cloud-whitelisting.
I dont think optimization in "archives/self extracting archives" can be possible.

Personally I am really looking forward to V5. I do not install betas or R/Cs of A/V products just because they are such a pain to uninstall when the new product is released. But I have heard that the Cloud is awesome and it works just fine.
