I am in the process of setting Mouse Gestures Redox (nightly) up for Mozilla Firefox 5.

I assume the browser is what most will be replying for.
I don't use browsers that don't have mouse guestures.
From what I recall, Opera was the first to use them that I remember, back when Opera was not free but did have an "ad" version.

i use Mouse Stroke for Chrome.
i just discovered mouse gestures a few months ago but it's something i could not do without while browsing.
Microsoft will be releasing a gesture mouse around August 15.
i'll be reading the reviews to see if it's worth picking up.

Definitely not. On a laptop, keyboard shortcuts are a thousand times faster.

I never have used them. To me they are aggravating, if you move your mouse in the wrong way then you will get unexpected results.
The first browser that I recall seeing mouse gestures was Maxthon Classic (MyIE), they were enable by default. I didn't take me long to disabled them since all they did was it is difficult for me to use Maxthon.
Thanks.;D

They can be, depending on what you are doing. Opera has some nice hotkeys to navigate tabs, the best IMO.
As for mouse gesturing, to "go back" and "close a tab" or "open in new tab" I have yet to find a hotkey that is as quick.
@littlebits
I agree, too many is not so much fun at times. I usually limit mine to about 4-6 functions and turn the rest off.

No, but I might in the future.
Used them regularly when I was an Opera user (a few years ago).
But after abandoning Opera, somehow I lost the custom.

Always used it with Maxthon (since Maxthon was called MyIE years ago).

That might be neat, but every voice type tool I have ever used is either far from accurate or takes a LOT of training to get to work decent.

Only rocker gestures (back and forward). It's one thing Opera really does better, very smooth and quick.
In Firefox, i find them a bit messy, except for one, FF Rocker, which doesn't work properly in Linux :ouch:
But the keyboard is what i use more, Alt-left/right for back/forward, and Ctrl-PgUp/PgDown to navigate tabs, Ctrl-W to close tab, Ctrl-L to focus address bar, etc.

Barely used them a long time ago. Neat, but not that useful for me.

Hello,
I use StrokeIt for system-wide mouse gestures:
http://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/
Although I only have two gestures programmed at the moment:
Down (Ctrl + End):
/ Down
\ Down
Down
Up (Ctrl + Home):
/ Up
\ Up
Up
I removed all of the default gestures.

Nathan

Hello,
Since I have a Logitech Wireless Wave Combo MK550, I configured Logitech SetPoint so that a flick of the center button to the left will Close the current application, and a flick of the center button to the right will Maximize the current application.

I didn't vote as I wasn't sure what you counted as a gesture. For instance, are you including drag and drop? If so, then it is yes otherwise the answer is no.
-{ Quote: "I don't use mouse gestures, however, I on occasion have been known to gesture at my mouse. ;)" }-lol - Need a separate poll asking which Wilders members require counselling for their anger management or behavioural issues.
Edit: Decided to vote 'other'

If I'm in the middle of something and the battery in the mouse dies I tend to momentarily think the the PC has frozen until I realise the mouse has died. I tend to gesture at the mouse at this point b4 rummaging for another AA battery.

Yes. FireGestures in Firefox (addon).

For Chrome YES. (Really useful and speeds up my browsing experience a LOT, specially when i use the keyboard at the same time)
For other browsers NO.
For laptops i LOOOOOVE multitouch!! The best thing for a browser after the physical mouse. Without multitouch surfing the web with a track pad SUUUUUUUUX ;D ;D

i just installed this little beauty called Just Gestures:
i was using mouse gestures in Chrome but i wanted to try one that can be used for Windows as well.
Just Gestures removes the limitations of using Chrome extensions for this task.
plus it can be used with any Windows app! :thumb:
------------------------------------------------
here's a few ones i use with Chrome.
these can speed up your browsing considerably.
Backward = alt + left arrow
Forward = alt + right arrow
Previous Tab = ctrl + page up
Next Tab = ctrl + page down
New Tab = ctrl + t
Close Tab = ctrl + w
Undo/Reopen Close Tab = ctrl + shift + t
-Close Other Tabs-
Reload = F5
Stop Loading = Escape
Full Screen = F11
Page Top = Home
Page Bottom = End

You need an extension for this? It should be built in.

who else beside Opera has built-in mouse gestures?
anyway, i'm using mouse gestures globally now, not just for Chrome.
some global actions are also used by Chrome, of course.
i have 3 more gestures for Chrome only not shown on the pic.
here's a screenie of my setup:
