Hello, i recently had that hijaker thing that always made me redirect to another site, but i followed the steps one of the forums had and i downloaded it and now everything looks pretty good. The only thing is that when i boot up my computer i always get the error "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll," is it anything serious, and is there any way to fix it. I thought of creating a file named bridge.dll but im scared that i might ruin my computer or cause the hijaker program to come back some how. Can anyone help me?

Hi Agi,

Appreciate your help, but the best advice is to follow the link in dvk01's post above, and post a hijackthis log over in the 'hijack cleaning forum' where an Expert can review it and give the needed instructions when dealing with malware. ;)

Regards,

snap

Here is the solution:

Removal of the message:
error loading c:\Windows\System32\bridge.dll during startup.

Use Notepad, create new file and write there text you see between the scores:

-----------
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"RunDLL"=-
-----------

Save the file as: unbridge.reg
Close notepad. double-click unbridge.reg and accept the change.
Once this is done you should be able to reboot without the message for Bridge.dll.

David
