Greetings,

I would like to extend my wireless signal. I have a Linksys WRT54GL router that runs an Ethernet cable to an Ethernet switch. I have a cable running from the switch to an opposite corner of the house, to a TIVO box. If I get an additional WRT54GL and hook it up to the cable that now goes to the TIVO box, will this wiring setup allow me to use the second router as a repeater for the wireless signal and also as an Ethernet switch to cable back to the TIVO box?

If this cabling setup is viable, I realize that configuring the routers is a separate, more complicated issue.
