22 Updates on Vista with ESS 4.2 went on no problem today but 10 updates for Win 7 with ESS v5 Beta failed.
Anyone else in same boat even though these are not pending like the times ESET has broken updates.
May not be ESET this time but will not know till others chime in!

Still eset, if you check the sticky post at top, it's listed as a fix to be.
Disable protocol filtering and your updates should go on ok.
I had the same issue a little earlier, and the above is still the work around fix, until eset push their update out.

Did not see new build and try every day the update checker!
I am sorry to say it is same but read an updated module may fix it soon (why not now?).
Anyhow I need to find that setting you mentioned!

I had exactly the same issue on (2) different machines.
Disabled Protocol Filtering and the updates finally went through >:(

I know its a Beta/RC and we use at own risk but something similar this happened before on V4.2 and made a mess for a lot of peeps including myself, the updates were locked as Pending!

Apologies for late reply. Setting is under advanced: Web & Email: Protocol Filtering.
Untick Enable Application... That will allow Microsoft updates to go through. :)
