Is it possible to protect folders or disks from unauthorized access using the Eset HIPS?
I would like to protect private folders or disks so that i get ask if a programm tries to access it.

Last week i got an answer from the Eset support.
I think they didn't get the point but anyway they advised me to try the RC.
I did that yesterday but i can't figure out how to protect files and folders from beeing accessed.
Eset Support: Please comment that.

This is not feasible, maybe in the future. Now HIPS is being aimed at protecting users from malware. However, it should be possible to create a blocking rule for writing to specific files for other than permitted applications.

Do you have an intern wish list where you could write down this feature request?
That would be really great cause i think a lot of users would appreciate that feature and i think the supporter i had e-mail contact with did not get the point..
If i think about Spyware, maybe built in more or less legitimate programms the feature for protecting custom folders is very important.
