Yippie :D. Not that it is that badly needed but still good to know it will be available soon, and i'm sure it will become as great as the Windows version in time.

I don't know about you but CCleaner was one of the apps I sorely missed when I switched to Mac. Other one being avast! which under a surprise development has been released in beta.

How will this product be of benefit to Mac users?

Do you have any experience with Mac OS X?

No. But Mac's don't have a registry, at least not in the way Windows does. Isn't registry cleaning a prime function of CCleaner, although it does other things as well?

Uh oh...that is so not correct. Registry cleaning is a good-to-have feature of CCleaner. It's main attraction is the ability to clean various junk file locations and apps (primarily browsers) in few clicks.

Exactly, and that is the interesting part :)

The primary feature of CCleaner is to clean junk files. Registry was added much later on. (Almost) anyone who used it would find that obvious, because it opens with Cleaner as main interface.

Anyhow this news doesn't concern me, but a Linux version would be interesting, especially if it bests BleachBit.

Yes it is the main feature. Afaik Ccleaner = "Crap" Cleaner :)

I use CCleaner out of convenience. It doesn't really do much that you can't do yourself, it just speeds it up.

Of course that's the point.

And maybe one day I will use it. I keep a copy on my computer in case I ever feel a need for it.
