I have a 500Gb SATA hard drive that has run into problems - Windows reports that the hard drive has an error in the boot sector (when trying to load the operating system).
In Windows XP I can see the drive when mounted externally, but not the partitions or directories.
With Paragon Backup & Recovery™ 2011 I can see the partitions and the directory tree, when I try to run the File Transfer Wizard, Paragon Backup & Recovery™ 2011 will move the folders to the clipboard, BUT, it will not let me press "Next" as it can not calculate the volume/size of the file(s). I left the program overnight with no success.
The drive is physically okay - it spins and is not ceased. Are there any suggestions on the next approach I should take?
