HTC Desire S screenlock stopped working after installing EMS

Basically the standard screenlock (which is set to 15 sec) in my settings doesnt get turned on anymore with EMS installed.
The only thing that happens is the light being dimmed. I have to manually press the power button to activate the screenlock.

If I uninstall EMS, then screenlock is reverted back to its normal states and automatically locks the scvreen after 15 sec of inactivity.

Any suggestion on how I can fix this with EMS ?

I was wondering the exact something. It worked for a reboot or 2 and then stopped working.
