Hello, I was wondering are they considering by adding new layers of protection mechanisms in version 5? Or maby later in v6.

Like:
'Anti-Rootkit', 'Keylogers', 'Bots' which this software curently doesn't have. And maby 'Identity Theft Protection'.

And aslo some things:
'ICSA Certified', 'Descriptions of Found Spyware', 'Registry Protection (firewall)', 'W.C.L. PC Firewall Certified', 'Privacy/Parental Control', 'Website History Log', 'Local Data Backup' - all of these features are missing or not included as far as I can tell.

It would really improve the program by far even it is top one at the moment.
Some other anti-virus/spyware programs have these types of protection and features but they arn't good with their engine.

Thankful

NOD32 already has rootkit, keylogger, and bot protection.
For keyloggers see: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=275953

All of these have been included for a long time. Except Parental Control wich was added in Version 5.

Though Parental Control is only available in ESS.

Hello,

ICSA Certified, WLC certification, etc. are not really features. It is information at best, and it wouldn't be very professionnal, IMO, to include it in the software itself, it would look "cheap" and look like the developers need this certification to trust their own product. Certification sites and ESET's website are a good place for it, not the GUI.

Local data backup - There are tons of excellent backup software out there. I don't think a security solution is the place for it; or it will become bloated.

Registry protection - Included in the HIPS in v5. For now there are no default rules so you have to create your own though.
