Dear forum members, I have some jolly good news for you. I have successfully gained two more certifications, Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer (CCHD) and Cloudera Certified Hadoop Administrator (CCHA). More papers to fill in the bottom drawer! Hurrah me! I'm winning, almost like Charlie Sheen.
For those of you wondering what Hadoop is: Apache Hadoop is a software framework that supports data-intensive distributed applications. It enables applications to work with thousands of nodes and petabytes of data. Hadoop was inspired by Google's MapReduce and Google File System (GFS) papers. In a way, it's a cloud computing thingie, and it's all the rage now. Hadoop is massively used by companies like Yahoo, Facebook and Amazon. Cloudera is a software company that offers Hadoop-based software and services, as well as certifies professionals worldwide in this fledgling yet rapidly growing technology. Seriously, this is a nice achievement, or rather a pair thereof. Well, that would be all. Party on. I'm gonna oil my ego with some posh corporate lotions. Next step, build a Death Star and take over the galaxy!
