Karen Kenworthy the author of software programs such as Karen's Replicator has passed away.

I actually use that program as yet another way of backing up my documents. She wrote many great little programs included in her Power Tool list.

How sad :(

She seemed like a Really nice lady & actually knew her stuff :thumb: I remember downloading several of her Apps over the years. I hadn't visited her www for some though.

I hope someone has access to her www & will be able to maintain the site & Apps etc. Apart from anything else, it will keep the memory of her good/kind deeds alive :)

This was sent out to folk on the mailing list..

-{ Quote: "Dear Friends, I suspect that many of you have noticed that the last issue of KarenŠs Power Tools Newsletter was dated March 17, 2010, and you may have been anxiously awaiting another. It is with great sadness that I write to tell you of KarenŠs death on April 12, 2011, after a long struggle with several debilitations, including diabetes. I know that Karen touched many of you with her kindness, wit, creativity and encouragement. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. And she was a pretty darned good programmer, too. We are deeply grieving her loss. For now, KarenŠs server is still running, the programs she has written can still be downloaded, and donations can still be made through the website. We are also working to fill all CD orders that have been submitted or mailed. It is difficult to make business decisions while grieving. So, at this point, I cannot say what will be the future of KarenWare.com, except to say that we will certainly continue KarenŠs commitment to safeguard your privacy as shown at the Privacy link of KarenWare.com. Many of you have already written many kinds words of condolence and comfort. Please know that we greatly appreciate you. If you care to make a contribution in her honor, she was a long-time supporter of The Dohnavur Fellowship, a special childrenŠs ministry in southern India. You can learn more about them at www.DohnavurFellowship.org. All we ask is that you remember her whenever you take the case off of your computer, contemplate removing entries from your Windows Registry, listen to Bob Wills or Riders in the Sky, or wave and say ŠHi!Š to anyone on the Šnet. May God richly bless you, as He has all those who knew Karen. Bill Kenworthy KarenŠs brother" }-

Her "Replicator" icon is sitting in my Taskbar as we speak and I suspect that it always will. Great little program from a fine lady. Rest in peace Karen. :'(

There needs to be a Hall of Fame for folks like Karen. She made great programs and was a good communicator and seemed to be truly a nice and genuine person.

:'( :'( :'(

With great sadness I just learned about this sad news of the passing away of Karen.
My eyes are full with tears

My sincere condolences and sympathies go out to Karen's family and friends.
She was such a great Lady.

Her great programs were mentioned here again and again at the Wilders board from the very beginning. Many people used them.
It is hard to tell which program I liked the most because there were so many. Maybe it is Directory Printer for me.

I had the great honour to have some email contact with her in the past. It was always a pleasure to have such contact with her about a program.

Karen, you will be missed but not forgotten
Thank you

Karen, May You Rest In Peace

Very sad news indeed. Somebody's passing away is a constant reminder of our ephemeral existence, and perhaps a thought about how to appreciate every moment of it. My sincere condolences to the family.
