Yeah, I've never seen the attraction of Farcebook Facebook either. I've never even wanted an account there. Friends & colleagues often ask me if I am 'on' Facebook. I am tempted to reply "No, I actually have a life" but I haven't, so I don't LOL! ;D

I dont mind Twitter actually as it is a good way of keeping up with the latest news for varying interests.

I've never set up an account either...but my wife did. She spends the whole evening planted at the computer desk exchanging messages with her Facebook friends or playing those stupid Facebook flash games. Don't tell her I said that :shifty: . Anyways, she likes it so I'm OK it. Anything for the lady.

I use FB as an IM via IMO (https://o.imo.im/new/), it is the one IM, that "everyone" has, so I do not have to use Digsby or to have multiple accounts like MSN, ICQ, Yahoo and so on. :)

My dislike for Facebook is growing due to the clutter, and lack of simplistic design.
Twitter, and Tumblr I almost never use. I'm canceling my accounts soon.

Sometimes I use it for online poker :)
Never used it now,
but back then, before I'm married
I find facebook is very important tools (and easy to use) to get a girl (a real one , not cyber) ;D
So facebook serve me right, my "secret" gadget for dating :thumb:

While some like or dislike using social networking sites, the same can be said for other areas of internet life. I know people who never use forums, for example. This is also true for IRC or IMs as well.
Often such things are fads; call it the "fashion" of the day - they're good for a while until the next big thing comes along.

I think I actually lost friends because I refuse to use facebook and its brethern. They seem to think that because I know a little something about computers I should be sharing when I float an air biscuit with them... I don't know, seems I should keep that to myself ;)

As I am in China, I never got to use FB or Twitter. There is a similar "FB" (renren.com) though, still, I haven't made an account there. But I thought Facebook might be more interesting. As I will go to France to study for the next 3 years, I thought I might make a facebook account and make a lot of friends then. So it seems it's not a good idea?
As for twitter (there're equivalent sites in China too), I just can't get a reason to use it. Since I am not a celebrity, who gives a damn about what I'm having for lunch today?
