I notice that SBS&D's "Resident" module is "hitting" on this "Update.exe.temp" thing when doing updates on EWIDO.

4/26/2004 1:56:43 PM Encountered and terminated Unknown in C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\Updater.exe.temp!

Is it because of the double-extension?

I can't seem to find that particular file/folder anywhere - does it erase itself when the program re-starts itself after an update?

Also, updates are incremental, correct? So there's really no way to keep a CRC check on the signatures, is there? I'm trying to determine if, despite SBS&D's message, that my updates of EWIDO are going correctly here. Pete

the ewido security suite does an integrity check everytime it starts so there's no need :)

btw. spybot seems to be too slow to really kill updater.exe.temp most of the time and on fast pcs it won't even recognize that it has been running 8)
