tool to edit the list of programs that handle dvd/usb

i'm looking for a tool ,that can edit the list of the programs handle dvd/usb

for example , i insert a dvd with photos , or a usb stick with music ,and windows 7 or XP pop up a window with a list of programs that can handle the dvd or the usb stick

well i would like to have to tool that let me delete some programs
