As usual, I'm probably the last one here to become aware of it. ;) But I just discovered that on multi-page forums, the "sticky" topics are carried forward (or backward?) to each page.
Admittedly there's a minor down-side to that, it means fewer "fresh" topics per page, especially in forums where there's a lot of sticky topics, as in the Admin ones. But I can see it could be quite useful sometimes -- like having the intro advice/instructions for a forum always handy.
