Just discovered yesterday that this board allows collapsing of forum groups and they remain collapsed unless user (me) expands them again. Wow, pretty cool 8)

Isn't that cool!

Hey, that is handy -- and I hadn't noticed either, until you pointed it out. Talk about a cognition problem -- those expand/collapse buttons are just as visible and obvious as the ones for, say, Posting Rules or Quick Replies. :-[

I'm lost. What's the collapsing thing? Is it possible I've been doing it, but didn't know the name?

Notice the arrows on right side of previous screenshot. Now after clicking the arrows on the right side of the "New Members and Help" section.......it uncollapses the section and the direction of the arrows change as here:

Also the more you collapse, the faster it gets too.

Yes, it does! Get faster I mean. You can collapse the sections you less frequent, but the rest is still easily accessible for when you want to go there. I like it. It's probably been there the whole time, but I didn't notice it. It makes up for no karma cookies. Taheehee

OK, a question, and I'm getting too old (and lazy ;) ) to find out for myself by experimenting.

If you've collapsed several of the groups, like I did, does "Mark forums read" still look after all forums, or just the "visible" groups?

??? OHHH! I wondered what those arrows were, but I have a bad habit of clicking where I shouldn't so I decided to behave myself, after all they could be just for mods or somethin. :-\ Thanks for the info!
