View Full Version : Cool Smilie wrongly triggered

I guess this is sort of like the smilie that is triggered if you use three question marks in a row. I just noticed this in a post in the NOD32 forum and I replied and the same smilie got triggered in my post. Funny, but also a bit irritating since this cool smilie cuts off information. There is supposed to be the number 8 and a close parenthesis symbol after the 0 below ...not a smilie! What could be triggering this one?

Yes, that is exactly what is triggering it. The "8" followed by the ")" will produce that 8) character. Two ways around this is to either put all the copy/paste information into a code block...

Or while making the post, you can select the: "Disable smilies in text" item in the Additional Options section below where you enter the message to be posted, which actually will suppress all such characters.
