Hi

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I received a message to update Java. I tried to do this via the on line updater and received the following: (32 bit download)

"Java Platform Binary Has Stopped Working"

Further details show:

"Problem Event Name BEX"

"Fault Module StackHash e802"

If I download the offline installer fo Update 23 and attempt to install over update 22 exactly the same problem arises as before.

If I uninstall update 22 then attempt to install update 23, again the same problem as before. However, version 22 reinstall no problem.

Anybody come across this problem? Any ideas for solution?

Thanks

Terry

Did you try off-line installer instead? Do both 32 & 64 bit (assuming you are using IE 64bit)

And another possible option would be to give JavaRa a try, maybe will you have better luck by using this one. It can clean all old Java installation remnants, and go download/install the off-line installer. Don't know if it will help in your situation, just a thought.

If I ever have any problems with Java updates I normally find that I can sort them out by going to the control panel & updating from there.
