program to monitor shutdown ?

Hi,
my system doesn't shutdown anymore, the settings are saved but then it stops and doesn't power off. Probably a service is not terminated. I'd like to see what it causes. Any recommendations ?

Gambla, the following method may be a better way to go about determining which service that might be:
