I noticed this text file when I was randomly checking out things on my computer. I've been keeping an eye on it for a few days and it keeps updating every day with these messages:
AudMig: No audio endpoint migration settings found 0x2
AudMig: No audio endpoint migration settings found 0x2
AudMig: No audio endpoint migration settings found 0x2
AudMig: No audio endpoint migration settings found 0x2
Any idea what this means and how to fix it? ???

I've also noticed the same file on my parents computer with the same message inside.

Isn't it a log file created during Windows installation?
I don't see why it should still be growing though....
If you image first, you could always delete the file and see if it comes back and continues to grow after reboot(s), just out of interest.
If all goes pear-shaped you could just re-instate the image.

There's more to setup than that particular log would suggest - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927521

I deleted them, so we'll see what happens.

I've discovered that the files ("setupact.txt" and "setuperr.txt") only appear when I have my headphones plugged into my computer. ???

I checked my friend's computer tonight for the same files and they exist on his computer with the same errors. All of the computers have the same sound driver (Realtek HD Audio) so maybe this is the problem(?)

It's only a problem if what you haven't stated is true - that sound doesn't work. I mean, your computer works as expected, right?

Yeah, the sound works.
