Someone I know is worried about her windows updates.

Her yellow shield appeared when she was disconnected when she turned on her comp when she had no internet connection and it disappeared after 3 or 5mins or so. Would the yellow shield still come up automatically again? So she can update her computer. I told her it was OK and it would still update but she asked if I could post here for your advise.
