Hello All,

I would like to find a FireFox add-on to allow me to delete all cookies
EXCEPT those I want to retain.

I still hope to see this as a built-in feature in the next update...

Thanks,

Jerry

Really great extension! I have been looking for something to replace CookieSafe (as it's no longer being maintained and doesn't seem to work right with FF 4.)

That said, I hope SelectiveCookieDelete lives on. It hasn't been updated for a while... :(

SelectiveCookieDelete here also at the moment :thumb:

I tried a few and some aren`t really very user friendly from what I could see.
Always looking for something better though.

Cookie Monster 1.0.5 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4703/)

Has a feature set that reminds me of Cookie Safe Lite. Been updated recently.

Cookie Monster looks interesting but SelectiveCookieDelete is so simple (and I'm so lazy) that SCD may be where I stay. I've found I no longer need to be concerned with forcing cookies to be session or temporary. If they aren't white listed, they're gone when I close FF or left click the SelectiveCookieDelete icon on the status bar.

I use one called Cookie Whitelist With Buttons. It blocks all cookie except for ones you allow. Here is the URL if you want to check it out.

In Firefox I just set it to not accept cookies from sites. If a cookie is needed before a site will work right I just add it to the "Exceptions" list. When you add it, select "Allow for session" if you want FF to delete it when closed. The cookie will be deleted but the entry in the Exceptions list will be saved so if you ever go back to that site it'll automatically accept the cookie. Or "Allow" if you want to keep the cookie until it expires. This has worked pretty good for me so far. Sometimes a site sends cookies even when they're not necessary. Why I'll never know, but this way you only get cookies that are critical.
