So far i've liked Yahoo mail. Yahoo seems to do a good job at filtering spam, but I'm very interested in hearing from other users here why they choose the web mail service provider they use.

I would say Gmail is the best free webmail service.I love it because of it's spam filter. But I have always used Yahoo!Mail (since 1998 ) and tbh it's my favorite.

EuMX.net (for domain hosting)
Was using Fastmail, but found EuMX much more economical.

Are there any Hush Mail users here? I've been thinking about trying them out. I like the ideal of better Privacy.

-{ Quote: "Bob D, I had not heard about EuMX.net. How did you learn about EuMx?" }-Probably emaildiscussions.com-{ Quote: "Whats your experience with them.." }-Domain hosted email (w/ static website) 10 GB for $13.95/yr is hard to beat.
Been using EuMX as my email domain host for >2 yr.s.
Have found their service rock solid, substance over style. Support very responsive and accommodating. Support forum's members very helpful.
Cons: Website in serious need of attention.
Obvious lack of FAQs, knowledgebases (when comparing the copious amount of succinct information as are generously offered by providers such as FastMail and others).

I use my ISP's POP3 and Web Mail, although I use Web Mail only when away from home.
I also have Yahoo account for use on the web, and for collecting spam and a few pieces of malware from time to time!

I have active accounts with Gmail, GMX, and Tiscali Mail: Gmail is the best by far. Privacy? I think Julian Assange has redefined what privacy is all about!

I've been using Hotmail for longer than I can remember. I never use the Yahoo or Gmail accounts that I have. Maybe if they integrated with Outlook the way that Hotmail does.

If you have your own domain with a web host, it's possible to use the webmail that comes with the hosting package, such as Squirrelmail or Horde. However, I do appreciate that some people will forward to services like Gmail.

Inbox.com works well for me. I have it in Thunderbird and don't even think about it anymore.

I use My Real Box from many years ago. Free deal is full packed of nice features... I use it mainly as a safety back-up after my ISP provider services.
"MyRealBox is a very large beta test site for NetMail." But don't let the beta word put you away, it is in continual "beta testing" from maybe 7 or 8 years now on. If I reminder correctly the project was started at beginning by Novell as a demonstration site for their technology...

I use Yahoomail because when it launched rocketmail.com and ymail.com (couple of years ago) I was fast and I registered email addresses with my surname@ymail.com & surname@rocketmail.com
I check my emails via Pop Peeper, which runs at start up. Once per week I log into webmail to check the spam folder.

Windows Live Hotmail.
If you didn't experience Hotmail before the drastic recent changes, you just don't know it anymore. In my opinion, Hotmail is currently better than all other free mail alternatives, including Gmail.
Hotmail is leading by a far margin.

Does it have IMAP yet? If not, I can't see it leading anything by a far margin.

Yes, Hotmail already has it!
* Use m.hotmail.com as server
* This feature was introduced in August/2010:

Just a follow-up
If you use Windows Live Mail 2011 (http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mail?os=other) IMAP is used by default and automatically configured.
Hotmail also supports secure access (HTTPs) if used by web-browser.

I have several web mail accounts, they also offer POP3 which is my preference. I do have one service that is web mail only (free account) and that is Lycos. I only check it when notified I have mail in the account.
