I wiped a partition and reinstalled XP SP3. When I logged on today Chrome was installed!!

I only added Avast, Firefox, Ccleaner and Adobe Flash player.

I do not know which one of these stealthily installed Chrome. Since this is my small internet only partition (4 gigs) I find that Chrome takes up 141 megabytes!!, way too much!!

Hope I do not have trouble uninstalling it.

could be avast did provide option to install chrome, but i'm not too sure. old 2009 article, http://blog.avast.com/2009/12/03/avast-and-google-chrome/

Both CCleaner and Avast! have tie-ups with Chrome.

I think OP has been a bit negligent while installing ;)

Yep, I let the ball drop on this installation. I usually just re-image but I felt like torturing myself, so I went full reinstall. ;D
