I have tried using the track source feature and it does work, but I am not sure how to interprete the results or what it can be used for. For instance, in the Whois section, is the name of the company at the top of the details the one who is responsible for the connection blocked by LooknStop? In the Tracert section I obtained this (as an example):-

Tracing: jumboprojects.force9.co.uk [80.229.63.183]
1- 20 19 18 lo1.plusnet.pth-ag2.plus.net [195.166.128.6]
2- 19 19 20 gi1-2.vlan3.pth-gw4.plus.net [212.159.1.3]
3- 20 19 16 gi15-0.vlan16.pth-ag1.plus.net [212.159.1.242]
4- * * *
5- * * *
6- * Tracert Error: Too many timeout

Could anyone explain it to me?

Hello,

WhoIs provides information about an IP adress loggeg in the Look 'n' Stop log page.

Tracert (which stands for Trace Route) provides information about the route followed by the data packet between the sender (a remote machine) and the receiver (your PC). You can Trace Route a data packet logged in the Look 'n' Stop log page.

Regards,
JF

Hi

Yes I realise what the functions do, but I don't know how to interprete the information that I get back - see the example above, what does it mean in plain English (2- 19 19 20 gi1-2.vlan3.pth-gw4.plus.net [212.159.1.3] means nothing to me) and on the other topic, is the name of the company at the top of the details (in Whois) the one who is responsible for the connection blocked by LooknStop?
