I've just updated FF to v3.6.11
Before when i clicked on Clear Recent History
222726
it just did it as per my settings in the following screenie
Now this pops up and i have to click on Clear Now ?
222727
Is there a way to return it to the previous preferred bahaviour ? Also why would that item be greyed out ?
I don't want FF showing ANY history or recent, so what are the correct settings for these ?
222728
222729
Any other privacy tips would be very welcome too :)
TIA
Eice

If you're not sharing your computer with other people, you're just wasting your time. If you are, use Private Browsing.

For me the "From & Search History" is not grayed out. I do not know why it is grayed out for you. If you do not want Firefox to remember any history then disable this function permanently in Options>Privacy>History.

My "Form & Search History" checkbox is also greyed out, and has been for quite some time - certainly well before this rev11 update.
I have no idea why though, but it`s not just you seeing this :thumb:

CloneRanger, check out: In Clear Recent History, why is Form & Search History grayed out (http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_offset=0&comments_threadId=0&comments_parentId=558595&comments_threshold=0&thread_sort_mode=commentDate_asc&forumId=1&time_control=3600).

Ya for me neither.

Personally i never use porn mode, only NoScript + built-in cookie whitelisting.

@ Eice
I find Private Browsing is less convenient than the way i set it, as sometimes i need to enable cookies for a short time. Plus i don't like this "feature"

How wierd, and not what i want :( I wonder why the've done that ?
@ fsr
My reasons for wanting no History etc etc are nothing to do with porn ;D I also have NoScript maxed out :thumb:
*
I've also noticed it is visably slower to load pages than before :(
I was hoping somone could advise me on the about:confing settings i highlighted earlier :)

FYI. Ask me before clearing private data (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1128505) - see Post #3 for the reasoning behind the change.
CR, you're welcome (for the links)!
