We're sorry... ... but it appears your computer is sending automated requests.

I've been getting this error page on Google for the past 3-4 weeks or so, in response to manually typed queries done both on the Google website directly or else from typing in the toolbar search box in the Firefox window.

Using FF 3.6.10; all plugins are current, no new addons installed recently. I know there aren't any queries being sent by other systems on our network.

I'll do the various AV scans again, but I'm pretty certain the system is ok. Anybody else having this issue, or have recently solved it?

-{ Quote: "This page appears when our systems detect procedural requests coming from your IP address in violation of our Terms of Service. This block will expire after the procedural requests have stopped.

Automated requests may be sent by malware or a bad browser plugin on your machine. If you are using a shared network connection, the traffic may be coming from a different computer behind the same IP address. It is also possible someone is intentionally sending automated requests using a script. Your proxy administrator may be able to identify the responsible machine. " }-

ooops, it was a recent plugin. Found the culprit, it was a Firefox add-on "Google Enhancer".

Thx, GF, I'm relieved that it wasn't something more insidious. I'll do a bug report on the plugin's page, too.
