Is there a 64 bit version yet? "Support for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 (32-bit and 64-bit"

A true 64 bit as opposed to a 32bit version that simply functions on a 64 bit machine?:-\ Like SAS has a 64 bit for instance.

A native x64 build of MBAM is currently not available and I do not think there are any plans on ever releasing one.

Maybe they are cooking one up, as there always have been frequent new builds, but it has been quite silent for a while:
1.46 April
1.45 March
1.44 January
1.43 December 09
1.42 December 09
1.41 September 09
1.40 August 09
1.39 July 09
1.38 June 09
1.37 May 09
1.36 April 09
1.35 March 09
1.34 February 09
As you can see, the releases are quite frequent, normally once a month and in dec 09 even 2 times, and the biggest gap is 2 months no releases. Now is already the 6th month with no releases, so I think 2.0 beta is soon coming.. Hopefully native 64-bit :)

What advantage would MBAM have being a true 64bit program ???

Good question. Is there currently any kind of malware that infects 64 bit Windows and can't be removed with 32 bit anti-malware apps?

I would only be guessing as to why SAS for instance developed one. Some of my guesses would be fairly accurate and some way off the mark.
