Do users get the new version downloaded automatically?

-{ Quote: "Do users get the new version downloaded automatically?" }-I don't know the answer to that question. I would guess that if you have your system set to automatically update, you would at least, receive notification of a new version.
Current users can check for upgrades by going to the help button and select "Upgrade Microsoft Security Essentials".

Odd that they'd release a v1 update when v2 should be coming soon? Typical Microsoft and no changelog, so damn annoying.

Yeah, updated license agreement is up. Allows installation on up to 10 business machines. Should be enough for many small businesses.

Some interesting stuff in the License Agreement.
INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS.
Home Use. If you are a home user, then you may install and use any number of copies of the software on your personal devices for use by people who reside in your household. As a home user, you may not use the software in any commercial, non-profit, or revenue generating business activities.
Small Business. If you operate a small business, then you may install and use the software on up to ten (10) devices in your business.
Restrictions.
The software may not be used on a device running an enterprise version of a Microsoft Windows operating system.
The software may not be used on devices owned by government or academic institutions.
Am I misremembering, or didn't the previous version allow you to use "the software" installed on a computer in your home, for a home-based business purpose?
While I don't wish to use it on enterprise licensed Windows, has anybody tried to install it and was it blocked? What about developer licenses?

That is odd. So they end home-based business use, but open small business use? I guess the home-based business would change to small business use? Sounds like who-ever modified the license made a mistake.
