Will you use the new Internet Explorer 9 beta on Sept. 15? I will be. I am an IE and Opera Fanboy.
ALSO, is this the real IE9 Interface?

Bit early to say anything, but I'll definitely be trying it, and moving to it if the UI turns out to be good.

Not sure if that's the final interface or not. I'll be giving it a try, the only issue I have (and this may not still be true), is that if you move to another IE version, you can't revert. That happened with the move from IE 7 to 8, and I'm not fond of it. I have a guinea pig friend whom I go to for testing out new apps. He is very critical of IE, yet loves IE 8. He'll give me the straight scoop I'm sure before I take the plunge.

is not the final interface but they will do the same as Google with a minimal window bars, they want the most viewing screen as possible and yes i will try it but only the final stable release so i need to wait until march or april at least.

Google Chrome FTW!!
Oh well too much fanboyism ;D
Now seriously, when they release it i will DEFINITELY download it, so when i use IE8 (Some sites compatibility etc.) it's faster, but i don't think i'll be replacing Chrome anytime soon :argh: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

No.
1 Microsoft won't lead use it with XP.
2 I need IE only for security updates, so I'm not interested to his developments.

I will try it, but I do NOT expect IE9 to be so greatly improved that I return to it.

I don't like the forced upgrade from XP.
After all, it's optimising use of hardware.
I understand that Chrome will be having hardware acceleration without the forced upgrade from XP to whatever.

I haven't followed the platforms previews, so I don't know what will be new or not, but I do hope that Microsoft finally decides to make it possible to have different profiles!
It makes me crazy not to see a browser allowing different profiles!

I am one of the minority who loved IE7. I cannot stand IE8 and if I could downgrade to 7 on Windows 7 I would do so. I have always also loved opera but totally skipped the version 9's all together and LOVE version 10.60 and 70 which I am using.
I think Opera is often overlooked and it is a browser that has lots of potential. I will give IE9 a chance of course because I do love the browser that is compatible with pretty much every site when it is final.
I am glad XP is cut from the compatibility. I think it is well time to move on. Windows 7 is by far the best of the best. I wish more people would give it a chance and let XP rest in peace. I hate to see Vista go before XP.. weird.
I love reading all the replies and I don't mind criticism.. we are all different so bring it on!

I won't download the beta because Microsoft has enough bugs to contend with in the final releases, so why get more bugs voluntarily. If the statement that the toolbars will be minimal like Chrome is true, that will be a welcome change. The toolbars take up almost 25% of the screen in IE8.

Well that eliminates my deciding whether to download it or not. ;D I can see what they mean just looking at the prospective home page layout. It has a Vistaish look to it. I'm still not buying a new computer with WIN7 for about a year, so I'll be keeping my IE8 albatross until then.

I loved IE, I used IE7 since alfa version, besides daily craches, till IE8, but I moved to Chrome and I am not looking back. I am no longer going to excuse IE for mistakes, when I have all I need in Chrome (like syncs on any PC for bookmarks, all settings and exts, updated flash, simplicity and security without any extra effort). But, I might look at IE9.

I just said that I'm not concerned with IE and IE 9. But even if I was, now not more ! Microsoft seems to force the users to upgrade to 7, indeed many users and companies don't have reason to do it and don't want.
No problem for XP: we have Opera, FF, Chrome... if Microsoft wanted IE to lose again users, this is the right step. We don't need IE 9.
But rather to use Seven because forced, I would switch to Linux. Konqueror, for exemple, is a very nice browser. :)

Try to be a bit polited. I'm not your pupil. Luckily: I know all this, but..what's ? No new, real kernel ( Windows never had a real complete kernel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernel_(computing) ), no substantial new features or options respect XP. Only some non relevant changes, Aero, and a restyling.

Going by your interesting definition of "new", neither Linux nor Mac OS X has had a "new, real" kernel for years now.
There's no such thing as an OS only qualifying as "new" only if it contains a kernel that meets your frivolous definition of "new" and "real". That's just nonsense you pulled out of thin air.
-{ Quote: "no substantial new features or options respect XP. Only some non relevant changes, Aero, and a restyling." }-
Again, some very *ahem* interesting definitions of "substantial", "new", and "relevant" you've got there. The good old strategy of "moving the goalposts", I see.
Bottom line is, feel free to stick to an almost decade-old OS, your choice. If technological progress and innovation scares you, feel free to stay away, your choice as well. Just don't expect the rest of the world to stand still and wait for you.

See my previous posts. ( 66 ). I would want to see and to touch all the technical wonders of Seven. Anyway, I expect that Microsoft don't try to force the users to upgrade the OS every few years; technically is well knowed that there is the way to make XP IE-compatible, but Microsoft won't do it. Why ? Soon I'm afraid Microsoft will declare old and outdated IE 8, so to force all the users to buy Seven.
Anyway, as I said, I need IE only for security updates. It was and is always late respect others, much better Browsers.

You are entitled to see MS as a money making machine: they have never denied their profit oriented endeavours, which in a free market economy is the most adopted business model (see non-profit organizations as a specific label).
Well, there are alternatives (Linux, Apple), but if MS business model was really so unfair, over the years we would have seen some kind of clear decline (as a matter of fact, they've lost a few percentage points), and they have paid very expensive highly publicized anti trust fines.
XP is a great OS, but in a few years time a lot of third party applications won't work with it, the product will increasingly work "as is" and you can't expect MS to put more research into something that is outdated.
