Hi

I am currently running Outpost Pro ver. 2.0.238.3121 (290). When trying to update through the update tool, I am told that I already have the last version (?!). How is this, since version 2.1 was already released??

I e-mailed Agnitum Support about this but had no reply.
Can anyone explain what is wrong?
Is new Outpost Pro version compatible with othewr plugins?
Thanks in advance!

Rui,

Have a look at this update alert (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=27726), especially the last note. Apart from that, as it seems Agnitum allows a maximum of downloads a day in order to avoid server overload.

As far as I know, plugins are still supported.

regards.

I don't even know why they have that update button. I've read all sorts of reasons why it doesn't work for this or that upgrade or why it doesn't work during the initial phase of release, etc. The simple fact of the matter is that if there's a new version available, it should see it and do that upgrade. As it is, I've gone to simple manual downloads, followed by an exit and shutdown of Outpost Pro, and done reinstalls over the old version for the past couple of times. The integrated uninstaller has worked fine for me.

Haven't heard of any issues with existing plugins. Change details are listed here (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=10134). Check out any other related threads in that forum, may address your questions better than I have.

I had the same problem last night when I tried to update, and after searching many forums I found a post from an outpost admin saying the auto update does not always work, and in that case just download the new version and install over top and it will upgrade and ask to keep your current settings.
