Is there an option to choose an Avatar from within the forum?

I just looked at the options concerning avatars on my avatar options and the options are to use a custom avatar or upload one or don't use one. Do a google search for avatars and I am sure you will find one you like. ;)

along the same lines, I see almost everyone has their old avatars but I;ve not got mine. I have no idea what the url would be (uploaded to the old forum) so how can I find it? :lurking:

If the upload url on the old forum is the only link you have to your old avatar you might be out of luck. :(

I do have it on my hard drive - but it would appear that LWM fixed me up ;D :lurking: thankee!!!

I have no idea how to design an avatar and anything I searched for was either too large or not to my liking but I like my little mouse ... can anyone change it for me to reflect the pixels allowed here??? Thanks.

Hi Peaches,

Your mouse avatar's dimensions are 63 x 77, so you should be able to upload it ok. The dimensions and size limits are 80 x 80 and 35.2kb (whichever is smaller), and the mouse is under that limit.

Try and upload it and let us know if it works. If not, I can resize it for you. :)

That is not what is stated in the User CP.

Opps..sorry about that (looking at too many boards at once). My mistake, and Tyler is correct. The dimension limit is 60 x 60.

Peaches, I have resized your avatar to 60 x 60. Could you save this one to your hard drive and then upload it. It should work fine. :)

(and you did a very nice job of resizing her avatar too...all I did was clear it a bit more) ;)

http://www.gifs.net/animate/thanks.gif - wow I checked to see if there was any response and there was my mouse neatly changed to an avatar for me and even appropriately placed. You know that you are just the greatest and I really appreciate the help. One of these days I shall learn how to do this. Thanks again Snap & LWM. 8) Oooops, I almost forgot to mention that I will save the avatar to my computer as well. :)
