Hi all,
I have a laptop , but no recovery disk. But I dont
exactly want to recover.
I want to take windows 7 OFF the disk, and replace with
windows xp.
I see the partitions. Is there anyway to do this?
thanks

thanks for reply.
but is it that easy? I hope your right, but i thought someone said that wont work.
There are special partitions on their that the laptop needs to boot, right? Dont they have to
be saved somehow?
I want to know how to SAVE THE needed partitions,
but get rid of the OS win 64 , then clean install xp.

Oh, okay, I think I get it.
Yes I see a C. so format that c partition ONLY.
then the computer will boot, and accept a DVD of
a new OS?
thanks a lot

Before you proceed:
1. Backup the system partition.
2. Check that there are XP drivers for your hardware. They may not be included in the XP installation disc.

ooooppps! No xp drivers!???
the laptop came preinstalled with windows 7. No xp
drivers for this model.
I started scrolling to lesser models, would that work?
But then I realized the chipset driver would be different
right?
thanks
