Paragon Alignment Tool disaster

I read the Paragon Alignment Tool is so clever "it will continue the alignment after is was interrupted".

I was running the tool (after a re-boot) and pressed ESC to interrupt the action so I could connect an UPS.

I rebooted... to see the harddrive I was running the tool on now is "unformatted".

Great.

1.5 TB data to re-search and re-store.

Very clever "interuption-aware" utility indeed...>:(

to 'Interrupt' is not the same as 'Cancel'.

Alignment could be interrupted because of power cut, HDD failure during thу operation. And it WILL be continued later.

Canceling the operation could lead to data loss (which is specified in warning message), especially, if it was done on the stage of data moving. Cancel is allowable operation and it is treated as correct alignment finishing unlike interruption.

Please try to use Undelete wizard:
1. Download and burn WinPE Recovery CD from My Account (https://www.paragon-software.com/my-account/index.htm).
2. Boot your PC from Recovery CD
3. Select 'Switch to Full Scale View'
4. Select required HDD in Disk Map (in the bottom of window)
5. Right-click the corrupted partition and select 'Delete' option.
Press Apply to perform changes physically.
6. Right-click the selected HDD and choose 'Undelete partition' option.
7. In Undelete wizard click Next
8. Select the required HDD, click Next
9. Select 'Conventional' or 'Thorough' search options and click Next
10. Please wait until search will be completed, and click Next
11. Then select found partitions to restore and click Next and Finish
12. Click Apply to perform changes physically.
13. Wait until operation will be completed, then click Close.
14. Restart you PC.

"COULD".

That kind of warning pops up all the time with defragging apps and many others.
Users presume it's "just a warning in case".

But when one states here the "ESC" function is a "cancel" and this means there will be no effeort done to save the data then the waring should read "Canceling WILL lead to data loss". IMHO.

Perhaps a "pause" option in this tool would be great. So one can shutdown and continue.

But never mind, I won't be using it anymore.

I have have a partition empti after use pat 2.0 i can use your undelete wizard?
if yes can you tel me how download winpe recovery cd?

Do you have stand-alone version of Paragon Alignment Tool ?
If it is a part of Hard Disk Manager/Partition manager/Drive Backup, WinPE self-burning file should be available from My Account.
Otherwise, contact Paragon Support team http://kb.paragon-software.com/webform. They could to help you.

Same thing happened here.. First the aligbment tool did nothin when started from the boot-CD, after trying out the installable-version wiuthin XP SP3 32 Bit, the system crashed immediately before rebooting and now the disc is blank, only one blank partition on it (instead of 4..)
Using the "request form" from tech support is no good, since you have to select a product here to proceed - the alignment tool isn´t mentioned....

Is the WinPE-Image fopr restoring Partitions available to the public?
