Hi, tds prompts messages saying it can't read the file spuninst.exe. There are about 10 of these files in different folders. The file, based on research are uninstallers for xp fixes and upgrades. After, prompting the message, tds rescans ALL the files only to prompt the same messages again. It seems like Tds will keep on scanning over and over. What should I do?

Hello, have no immediate answer why TDS can't read them. Are they super large, are they compressed/archives or just normal executables?
Normally i would advice to exclude them from scanning till the DCS tech guys come back for better solutions, but since there are so many and in so many different places.........
Is it each time in the startup scans?

No, there're not large at all. They are hidden, but I don't think that affects the scanner. I'm not sure if they are compressed; they're just .exe files, so they're not zipped. Thank you for helping.

Having some files "locked for read access" is normal, if you want to verify they CAN be scanned you should try scanning in Safe Mode. The files in question exist due to patches or Service Packs being installed from Microsoft.
