Online Armor personal firewall protects your computer's internet connection (inbound connections and outbound connections), stops unknown programs from running and detects keyloggers - plus lots more! Online Armor is a full security system for your computer, but has been designed to be very easy to use. You can check out its features in detail by looking at the menu on the left. In standard mode, most decisions are made completely automatically based on Online Armor's whitelist - meaning that you never need answer a complex firewall prompt again.
Online Armor firewall is designed to be easy to use, right out of the box - but that doesn't mean it lacks in power. Slip into advanced mode, and additional options for power users are present. Import blacklists from bluetak directly into the firewall and apply them against rules. This allows protection of P2P programs or web browsers, without applying these lists against every connection.

I thought 4.0.0.45 was just a small update for those who had bother with .44 and has been available for a while. No?.

I don't believe there are any updates. It's just be rebranded to Emsi.

Yes. In fact I did so more than once. Still no horsey. NOT an auspicious start with Emsisoft OA. :(

Somewhat harsh. Chances are, the update has not yet gone out on Auto updates, so the original 45 is still there. I haven't discussed updates processing in any great detail with Christian, so I guess will do so tonight

I agree, a little harsh. I was updated to .45 with the Tall Emu and still have it ... but it updated before the announcement of the merger (June 27th, in fact (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1702784&postcount=7)) so I'm guessing .45 was originally a Tall Emu update. Hey, maybe this version is now a collector's item? The ".45 Tall Emu edition"! Wonder how much it would get on eBay...

I own 18 security programs, all with paid licenses. Is it "harsh" to request OA provide service equal to the other licenses I own? Is it "harsh" to request service that is equal to that provided to others in this thread?

Is this the new role for MN -- rebuke anyone who offers even the slightest criticism of OA?

That was really harsh, outrageous one might say :-X

No offence intended, but how is OA not providing "service equal to the other licenses"? Did I miss something?

Likely all Emsi did was rebuild the distribution package with a new image; or, depending on how it's packaged, maybe they just replaced the image within the package. It'd be a quick way to rebrand it as their own and I for one wouldn't want them to waste effort with releasing a new version for no good reason.

I was a beta tester of one of OA's early versions & have been a customer of OA for just over 5 years. I am still a 99%-satisfied customer/user of OA's premium (non-free) version.

In addition to OA's excellent protective properties & ease of use, one of the things I have always liked about OA is that its proponents almost always responded to issues & complaints with friendly & competent help, rather than calling names and attacking those who pointed out real or perceived imperfections.

I would be sad to see this non-fanboyishness change, but some of the posts in this thread manifest a drift in that direction.

Well, I'm happy (so far) whether its an Emu or a Horse. And this weekend I'll finally be test-driving EAM 5 with OA Premium.

Hmm, what do you get if you cross...

Yes, now go to your room. :D

Of course, I jest.

You're of course free to criticise OA - that's what helped make it great - ( the autostart warning in the installer was a direct result of a post you made when you were one of the first people to test OA years ago) as I am free to point out that I thought your criticism was a little harsh. Maybe it's just a wording thing.

Basically I just thought that it was a tad harsh to say it's "an inauspicious start". Certainly, no rebuke was intended, and I'm sorry if it came across that way. It wasn't moderation, just a personal comment.

I think 18 security apps is really overkill. You should pick your best 3 and dump the rest IMHO. :)

If my fly is unzipped, seemingly "polite" fellows won't say anything. Instead, they will slyly snicker behind my back. Real friends will TELL me, "Hey brah -- are you advertising that thing or what?" ;)

P.S. Do I have my horsie yet? Neighhhhhhh :-[

I do not run them all at one time. In fact, my only real-timers right now are OA & Prevx.

I buy licenses because I am a security program junkie plus I like to support programs with good prospects.

" }- Hi Bellgamin,
You can download the latest 4.0.0.45 full versions of OA from the Emsisoft site. The site incorrectly states that the downloads are for 4.0.0.44 but once downloaded you can verify the 45 by checking the version in the properties.

To get the full benefit of the rebranding:
1) save your configuration,
2) uninstall the current TallEmu one then
3) install the one from Emsisoft into a new Emsisoft folder
4) import the configuration into the new OA.

The Tallemu folder can be deleted.

Enjoy the horse...::)
