Avast real-time and Comodo AV on-demand
Family computers use Shaw Secure (rebranded F-Secure Internet Security) and MSE.
That's about it, if you don't count the cloud engines in HitmanPro and VirusTotal.

Panda Cloud PRO with no plans on changing :argh:

Avast Free Edition, previously used Avira AntiVir Free on my other system but the false positives got out of control.
I did try Panda Cloud Free for awhile but it also had too many false positives more than Avira did.
However Panda Cloud has good potential for the future.
Also tried MSE on both of my systems and it did very well except for extremely slow scanning.
If Microsoft could fix that issue than it would be competitor to Avast.
Now I used Avast Free on both of my systems.
Doesn't slow down my systems, hardly ever get false positives and I never get infections.
Thanks.:)

I'm running Panda Cloud Pro. So far without any issues. Not one false positive yet.
It's detection on the latest malware from "Malware Domain List" is very impressive. Not perfect of course but very strong. A lot of detections from the "Cloud Intelligence".
I'm looking forward to it's future.

Latest version of MSE is supposed to scan faster. At least that's what I read in another thread here. Also I wonder if a distinction should have been made between Panda and Panda Cloud or do they not sell a traditional stand alone anymore?

Avast Free again after a brief flirt with MSE and a laughable experience with Panda Cloud Free...come now, an OS system file being flagged as a directory deleting trojan? Right. Among other issues I had with it.

Norton for me. Not necessarily my favourite AV, but as a suite in NIS2010 I find it's not let anything through on my machine since using it. Very impressive. If I get bored with NIS I'll definitely use MSE.

my sig for performance. My favorite suite for stability and performance nis 2010, also like mse. Everything i used to love has turned into bloated junk that's slightly better than having a full virus infection.

I have noticed that , too . Perhaps they have lost a few customers with version 10. But there is nothing so strange - the antivirus world is may be the most dynamic part of the whole computer software world

It is still very good. I think there are so many and with freebies improving, money is a issue.

I also think if Avast was broken down to paid or free, Avira would then be first of the paid choices.

KIS 2010. The 2011 version needs to bake some more before it's done.
Also burning up licenses for:
Outpost Security Suite - too broken to use, hangs on x64, the antispam locks Outlook.
Norton Internet Security - Likes to delete files without asking, too many false positives.
ESET Smart Security - too broken to use, locks files and hosed my laptop while trying to use Windows Update, firewall loses it configuration.

I needed to change from the resource hog McAfee (which I get free from my ISP), so after some thought I downloaded the Panda Cloud Free. It seemed very light & I was initially impressed. I ran a standard scan (approx 40 min) & all was fine. I think it found some tracking cookies. Later the same day I ran a full scan. It found 3 imaginary viruses! I'm now using MSE. It seems fine & is quite light.

Watch out for Panda's false-positives. I have since discovered that the freeware 'Cloud' suffers a bit from these. I think when they figure this out it will be definitely a contender though. I was quite surprised just how light it really was.

Have been using only Kaspersky (KAV/KIS) now for a year, and have been quite happy with it (ignoring some issues, like the lack of Custom Installation).

That's interesting. If I was going to purchase an AV I would probably go for Kaspersky, mainly through reputation, however, I have MSE on both my computers & I'm pretty pleased with it.

I got a Kaspersky lifetime license, to both KAV and KIS any version including latest, but I still prefer Microsoft Security Essentials (currently using MSE v2 beta), as it's far more light on resources and still effective.
The greatest extra feature KIS offers is a proper HIPS that helps in the good score KIS gets in the Matousec tests. But this feature doesn't work as well in 64 bit Windows 7.
