RVS core system not available?

Today, I tried to start Returnil (version 3.1.8774.5254-REL on WinXP Pro SP3), but a box popped up with the message "RVS core system not available." I tried to find more information about this in the forum, but my search was unsuccessful. What does this mean, and what should I do?

Hi,
It means there was some sort of damage to RVS. See your PM for instructions on how to resolve this and let me know the results.

Also, please check your Windows event logs for System and Application errors around the same time this occurred.
