Hi

Does anyone know if the proxy in Norton Personal Firewall will provide privacy while online and hide your ip? Thanks.

Hi quantify

To show something other than your true public/WAN IP when on the Internet you would need to use an anonymous proxy service. (log into their service/servers and surf thus showing a different IP)

Edit:
A couple of posts you can look at:

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=3140

The proxy in NIS/NPF will filter things like cookies, referers, ads, active content and personal information.

CrazyM
